Chemical Injection Skids

Excel Loading Systems designs and fabricates custom chemical injection skid systems for industrial, chemical processing, petroleum, terminal, water treatment, and energy applications. Our skid-mounted chemical dosing systems are engineered to provide accurate, reliable, and repeatable chemical dosing while minimizing field installation time and reducing overall project costs.

Each chemical injection skid is built to meet the specific requirements of your process and can be supplied as a complete package — including pumps, instrumentation, controls, valves, piping, and structural skid fabrication.

What Is a Chemical Injection Skid?

A chemical injection skid is a pre-engineered, pre-fabricated chemical injection system designed to accurately inject chemicals into a process stream. These systems are commonly used to add corrosion inhibitors, biocides, additives, dyes, pH adjustment chemicals, lubricants, and other process chemicals at controlled flow rates.

By integrating all components onto a single skid, installation time is significantly reduced compared to field-built systems — resulting in improved quality, reduced startup risk, and faster project execution.

Typical Applications

Excel Loading chemical injection skids are commonly used in:

  • Petroleum terminals
  • Refineries
  • Chemical processing facilities
  • Tank farms
  • Pipeline operations
  • Water treatment plants
  • Industrial manufacturing facilities
  • Biofuel facilities
  • Food and beverage processing
  • Power generation plants

Available Chemical Injection Systems

Corrosion Inhibitor Injection Skids

Designed for precise delivery of corrosion inhibitors to pipelines, storage systems, and process equipment. Benefits include extended equipment life, reduced maintenance costs, improved system reliability, and enhanced asset protection.

Additive Injection Skids

Used for introducing additives into fuel, lubricants, and process streams — including fuel additives, biodiesel blending chemicals, lubricant additives, and product enhancement chemicals. (See our dedicated Additive Injection Systems page for fuel terminal applications.)

Chemical Dosing Skids

Chemical dosing systems provide controlled injection rates using positive displacement pumps, flow monitoring, and automated control systems. Typical chemicals include sodium hypochlorite, sulfuric acid, caustic, polymers, coagulants, and neutralization chemicals.

Dye Injection Systems

Frequently used at petroleum terminals and fuel distribution facilities to inject colorants and identification dyes into product streams.

Each chemical injection skid is customized to your requirements and may include:

  • Pumps — Diaphragm metering, gear, progressive cavity, peristaltic, and positive displacement pumps
  • Instrumentation — Pressure transmitters, flow meters, level switches, temperature monitoring, and chemical concentration monitoring
  • Valves — Ball, check, relief, automated control, and solenoid valves
  • Controls — PLC controls, HMI operator interface, remote monitoring, alarm systems, and SCADA integration

Fabrication Capabilities

Excel Loading Systems fabricates all chemical injection skids at our Cincinnati, Ohio manufacturing facility, with capabilities including carbon steel and stainless steel fabrication, ASME welding, instrument tubing, mechanical assembly, and factory acceptance testing before shipment.

Why Choose Excel Loading Systems?

Excel Loading Systems combines decades of fluid transfer experience with in-house fabrication, welding, and system integration capabilities. Unlike many skid fabricators, our team understands the complete process — from chemical handling and pumping systems to loading terminals, process piping, and fluid transfer equipment.

Whether you need a simple dosing package or a fully automated chemical injection system, we can build a skid solution tailored to your application. Explore our related Modular Process Skid Systems and Chemical Loading Arms for a complete chemical transfer solution.
